Olga

Olga came to yoga in the early 90s while being in professional sports and living in her native Russia. She started applying Yoga Asanas to get restored after training and competitions in long distance running and race walking. She also noticed that, as a result, her awareness increased, her sleep improved, and she achieved calmness of her mind. Besides, practicing Yoga helped her heal minor injuries, release muscles stiffness, and balance body, mind, and soul.

After Olga had moved to Canada, Yoga turned into her passion, and she decided to become a Yoga Teacher believing that it would be her best way to help people enjoy wellness and happiness in life. A holder of Masters Degree in P.E. Teaching and Race Walking Coaching, she completed Yoga training in Vancouver and got certified to teach Hatha and Kundalini Yoga.

Olga strongly believes that her three children will take the best from her experience and knowledge and live a healthy and harmonious life.

Angela

Angela has been practicing yoga for 10 years.  She completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training program through the South Okanagan Yoga Academy with a special focus on the therapeutic application of yoga including restorative yoga and yoga for mental wellness.

In 2007, Angela began practicing Anusara Yoga® and experienced an evolution in her own personal practice and a deeper realization of what it means to live yoga.  Angela is an Anusara Inspired™ teacher and also provides instruction in Hatha and Restorative Yoga.

“I encourage my students to connect with their hearts, to align with intention, and to practice at their full potential.”

Anna

Anna began practicing yoga casually, on an off and on basis, in 2003. It seemed a natural fit because she had been a gymnast in her childhood, and she was craving an activity that would channel her energy while helping to maintain flexibility.

Anna didn’t become committed to the practice, though, until she began struggling with chronic insomnia, which developed after the death of a beloved family member. A yoga master once told her that people often arrive to the practice of yoga after having experienced pain, whether physical or emotional. That was definitely true for Anna, and as she immersed herself further into the practice, she began to notice its positive, healing effects on her body, mind and spirit. She felt greater calm, understanding and acceptance of herself, other people, and the world.

Wanting to take her practice to the next level, Annd graduated from Semperviva Yoga College last autumn with a 200-hour teaching certificate. Now, Anna is thrilled to be working alongside Olga–one of her favorite instructors–at YogaOne.
